Safari 5 just came out last week, and Chrome 6 is still in development. Which one is faster?

Safari 5 is much better and faster than Chrome.

Chrome 5 on a windows or linux machine out benchmarks safari in everything. It’s over two times faster at rendering JavaScript.
Chrome isn’t hasn’t been optimized for apples operating system yet, as it has for windows or linux, and why should it be? Ty using safari on anything but a mac lately? For 2 percent of the noob market share who don’t even use powerful computers to begin with obviously don’t care about speed?

Well Apple market is growing rapidly. I am using mac and have used window, linux. And I strongly say Apple is far ahead than window and linux in any matter. Yeah sure its bit costly but it worths. As far it’s concerned with chrome, I do not care about window pc, Safari is fastest browser, even my firefox renders webpages faster than chrome. It’s been two years chrome is still in beta stage, and with each latest version it’s getting slower in rendering. Even other mac browsers renders with the equal speed with that of chrome. Moreover, it’s interface is so awkward. Seriously google should stop developing chrome for mac because mac user do not care about this piece of shit chrome. I have installed each and every version of chrome and then truly each time within in 20 minutes, it finds it way to trash.

I’ve tried both on a Macbook Pro; Chrome was really fast the first time I tried it. The second time, it kept crashing and was going as slow as Internet Explorer (actually, even slower)!
I am loyal to Safari 5 now, because it is fast and reliable
Although there are more reviews that indicate chrome being faster than safari in a PC, so maybe they vary.

This is not about PC vs Mac, it is about Chrome vs Safari.
